The Ombudsman can take complaints from members of the public, groups or organisations about the Norfolk Island public service and ‘prescribed authorities’, as well as Australian Government agencies.

If you have a problem or complaint about an agency’s action that can’t be resolved directly with the agency, you can approach the Ombudsman. Although the Ombudsman is an Australian Government agency, it is impartial and independent and is not an advocate for either complainants or for agencies.

The Ombudsman’s services are free.
